The number of atoms per unit cell in a cubic crystal of an element belongs to simple, body-centered and face-centered cubic lattices would be

simple lattice- 1/8 X 8 = 1 atom

body-centered cubic lattice- 1/8 X 8 + 1= 2 atom

face-centered cubic lattice- 1/8 X 8+ 1/2X 6 = 4 atom
