The ratio between base angle and the vertex angle of an isosceles triangle is 3:4 . Find its angle.

Answers (1)

Given, Ratio between base angle and vertical angle of an isosceles triangle = 3 : 4

Let each base angle = x

Then vertex angle = 4x/3

∴ x + x + 4x/3 = 180°

(Sum of angle of a triangle)

⇒ 10x = 3 x 180°

x = 54o

∴ Each base angle = x = 54°

And vertex angle = 4x/3=(4 x 54)/3=72o
