The ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls = 12/7

given there were 147 girls, that is if x number of people are there then 7/19 parts are girls, so

\\\frac{7}{19}x=147\\\\x=\frac{19\times147}{7}=19\times21=399

There were a total of 329 people out of which 147 are girls. So the number of boys = 399-147 = 252 boys
