The volume of two spheres are in the ratio 64:27. Find the ratio of their surface area.

Answers (1)

The volume of the sphere is proportional to the cube of the radius and surface area of the sphere is proportional to the square of the radius

\\\frac{V_1}{V_2}=\frac{64}{27}\\\\\frac{R_1}{R_2}=\frac{3}{4}\\\\\frac{A_1}{A_2}=(\frac{R_1}{R_2})^2=(\frac{3}{4})^2=\frac{9}{16}
