When the charged particle enters incline to a magnetic field, the vertical component of velocity causes a circular motion of charge and the horizontal component will move the charged particle in a straight line. Hence path of charge is helical.

Here angle is between velocity and magnetic field and is nor \frac{\pi }{2} or zero.
