Snell's law is a formula used to describe the relationship between the angle of incidence and angle of refraction

According to Snell's law,
The ratio of the sine of the angle of incidence to the sine of the angle of refraction of a medium is constant.
That constant is called a Refractive index of the medium.

And it is mathematically expressed as  \mu =\frac{\sin i}{\sin r}
