plaster of Paris is prepared by  'heating the gypsum' at the 'temperature of 373 K'.
The reaction for preparation of the POP is given below:

\mathrm{CaSO}_{4} \cdot 2 \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O} \rightarrow \mathrm{CaSO}_{4} \cdot \frac{1}{2} \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}+\frac{3}{2} \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}
calcium sulphate hemihydrate is the chemical name of the Plaster of Paris. It has most applications in hospitals, chemistry labs, and in building constructions.
