plaster of Paris is prepared by  'heating the gypsum' at the 'temperature of 373 K'.
The reaction for preparation of the POP is given below:

calcium sulphate hemihydrate is the chemical name of the Plaster of Paris. It has most applications in hospitals, chemistry labs, and in building constructions.
