What is the difference between active and passive absorption in humans?

Answers (1)

Active absorption is when the substance is absorbed against the concentration gradient, which is from the lower concentration to the lower concentration and required ATP molecule since it is energy-driven process.

In passive absorption, the substance move from the higher concentration to the lower concentration and does not require any form of energy since it moves along the concentration gradient.
