Fertilisation occurs in the Ampullary region of the oviduct in a human female.

While the embryonic development, the zygote undergoes mitotic division called cleavage, to form 2-4-8-16 daughter cells that are called blastomeres and embryo with 8 blastomeres is called a morula, and it continues to divide and transforms into a blastocyst, then blastomeres in the blastocyst are arranged into an outer layer called trophoblast, that gets attached to the endometrium, the inner cell mass of blastocyst gets differentiated as an embryo, the uterine cells divide rapidly and cover the blastocyst, blastocyst gets embedded in the endometrium of the uterus which is implantation.
