WHO DID INTRODUCE SUNSET LAW?

Charles Earl Cornwallis introduced the Sunset Law in 1793. This law provides that the law shall cease to have effect after a specific date, unless further legislative action is taken to extend the law. The idea of General Sunset provisions was discussed extensively in the late 1970s.
