Drafting committee was formed on 29 August 1947. Drafting committee had seven members. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was the chairman of this committee and the other members were following- 

1- N. Gopalswami

2- K.M Munshi

3-  Alladi Krishnaswami Ayyar

4- Mohammed Sadulla

5- N.Madhav Rao (he took place of B.L Mitra after his resignation)

6- T.T Krishnamchari (he took place of D.P Khetan after his death).
