How to Prepare for KVPY SA 2019 -  The Kishore vaigyanik protsahan yojana is commonly known as KVPY. The KVPY 2019 exam is conducted by the department of science and technology of the government of India. As we know KVPY exam is divided into 3 streams KVPY SA, SX & SB. So, aspirants who are just at the beginning of their class 11th and want to give KVPY exam can apply for the KVPY SA stream.   1. Aspirants enrolled in XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2019-20.
  2. Aspirants who have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board examination immediately in the preceding academic year are eligible to appear for KVPY SA 2019 exam.

  • All The Subjects Carry Equal Amount of Weightage

The KVPY exam is divided into 4 sections: 1) Physics, 2) Chemistry, 3) Mathematics and 4) Biology. As there is no prescribed syllabus for the exam. So, all the subjects should be given equal importance. your study should consist of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics syllabus that you have studied till Class X for the KVPY SA exam.

  • Subject Analysis

1. The most important topics for the KVPY exam are Mechanics, Ray Optics, Electromagnetism. 

2. Make sure all the concepts related to class XI Mechanics are clear to you.

3. Basic class X level knowledge of chapter Ray Optics and Electromagnetism is enough for KVPY exam purpose.

6. As per the previous year's papers analysis, questions were asked from Lens Maker’s Formula and Kirchhoff’s rules.

6. From class 12 syllabus,  chemical kinetics is important.

7. The knowledge of Class 10th Organic chemistry is enough for the KVPY SA exam.

1. There is no shortcut for mathematics.

2. If you want to score good then, there is no other way than to practice.

3. Important chapters are coordinate geometry, 3D Geometry, vector, Algebra. Limit and continuity and sequence and series.

4. For Geometry class X knowledge is enough.

5. The best way to solve the mathematic section is to use your logic and eliminate options.

6. Practice questions from Olympiad or JEE preparation books.

2. The syllabus of class 10 and class 11 is enough for the biology section.
