The person will catch the ball if his speed and horizontal speed of the ball are same

=\nu _{0}\cos \Theta = \frac{\nu _{0}}{2}\Rightarrow \cos \Theta = \frac{1}{2}= \cos 60^{\circ}\: \: \therefore \Theta = 60^{\circ}
