Using Kirchoff's Law

\begin{aligned} &-3+i \times 1+\frac{i}{2} \times 1+\frac{i}{4} \times 1+\frac{i}{8} \times 1=0 \\ &3={i}+\frac{i}{2}+\frac{i}{4}+\frac{i}{8} \\ \end{aligned}                              \begin{aligned} =\frac{\left ( 8+4+2+1 \right ) i}{8}=\frac{15}{8}i\end{aligned}

    \begin{aligned} &i =\frac{24}{15}=\frac{8}{5} \end{aligned}

Hence 8 is correct answer
