A_{1}V_{1}=A_{2}V_{2}=\pi \left(\frac{8\times 10^{-3}}{4} \right )\times 0.4=\pi\times \frac{d^{2}}{4}\times 2

\therefore\ \; d\equiv 3.6\times 10^{-3} m
