For the parabola.

y^{2}=4ax

 

 Parametric coordinates are     \left ( at^2, 2at \right )

t_{1}= -t -\frac{2}{t}  ( Corotition for normal chord)

so, t_{1}^2 = t^2+\frac{4}{t^2}+4

Minimum value of  t_{1}^2=8
