Law of conservation of mass -

Matter can neither be created nor destroyed.

- wherein

H_{2} + \frac{1}{2}O_{2}\rightarrow H_{2}O

2g        16g            18g

Mass is balanced on both sides

 

 

2 moles of NH3 by mass  = 2\times 17g = 34g

\therefore By law of conservation of mass,

x + 6g = 34g \Rightarrow x = 28g

\therefore Solution is D
