As we learnt

Dalton's Atomic Theory -

Compounds are formed when atoms of different elements combine in a fixed ratio.

- wherein

N_{2} + 3H_{2} \rightleftharpoons 2NH_{3}

Nitrogen & Hydrogen combine in a fixed ratio to yeild ammonia (compound)

Ratio of elements in CaCO3 :

Ca : 1, C : 1, O : 3

Molar mass = 1\times 40 + 1\times 12 + 3\times 16 = 100

CaCO_{3}\overset{\Delta}{\rightarrow} CaO + CO_{2}

    x                     0            0

    0                                    \frac{0.88}{44} mol

\\*\therefore x =\frac{0.88}{44} mol = 0.02 mol = 2g \\*\therefore \% purity = \frac{2}{4} \times 100 = 50

\\*\therefore Solution is D
