As we learnt in

Redox Reaction -

Redox reaction as a class of reactions in which oxidation and reduction reactions occur simultaneously.

-

In the given reactions:

X_{e}F_{6}+H_{2}O\rightarrow X_{e}OF_{4}+2_{H}F

The oxidation states are:(+6)\:(-1) (+1) (-2)(+6)(-2)(-1) (+1) (-1)

X_{e} Fe_{6}+H_{2}O\rightarrow X_{e}O\:F_{4}+2HF

There is no change in the oxidation states of any of the reactor

\therefore The above is not a redox reaction

Similarly, XeF_{6}+2H_{2}O\rightarrow XeO_{2}F_{2}+4HF

\therefore\ Above\ is\ not\ a\ redox\ reaction

(+2) (-1) (+5) (-1) -------> (+2) (-1) (+5) (-1)

X_{e}F_{2}+PF_{5}\rightarrow X_{e}F\:PF_{6}

\therefore Above is not a redox reaction

Now,

X_{e}F_{4}+O_{2}F_{2}\rightarrow X_{e}F_{6}+O_{2}

+4    -1      +1   -1         +6  -1        0

Clearly the oxidation state of X_{e} changed from +4 to +E and that of oxygen changed from (+1) to 0

This is an example of a redox reaction.
