Asked in: JEE Main-2019

Let A , B and C be sets such that

\phi \neq A\cap B\subseteq C.  Then which of the following

statements is not true ?

 Your Option is correct !!

A.

B\cap C\neq \phi

B.

If\: \: (A-B)\subseteq C, then\: \: A\subseteq C

C.

(C\cup A)\cap(C\cup B)=C

D.

If\: \: (A-C)\subseteq B, then\: \: A\subseteq B

Answers (1)

Let A = {1,2,3,4}

B = {3,4,5,6}

C = {1,2,3,4,7,8}

Here A ∩ B = {3,4} ⊆ C

A - C = ? ⊆ B

but  So not true (wrong) statement is 4th

If A - C ⊆ B then A ⊆ B
