Given that,

There are 7 people arranged in a circle.

The 2 people sitting together are considered as one "unit" and the other 5 people as 5 "units". Arrange 6 "units" in a circle.

\left ( 6-1 \right )!=5!=120\ \text{ways.}

Since the two people sit together, assuming 2 boys together as 1 unit.

The two people can be arranged in 2! ways.

Therefore, the number of ways the people are arranged in a circle is

120\times 2=240\ \text{ways.}120\times 2=240\ \text{ways.}
