\dpi{100} Mole\: Fraction= \frac{Moles\: o\! f\: solute}{Moles\: o\! f solute+Moles\: o\! f solvent}

 W =1000gm (H_{2}O); n=1 mole

N=\frac{W}{M}=\frac{1000}{18}=55.55

X_{solute}=\frac{n}{n+N} =\frac{1}{1+55.55} =0.018.
