Conformable matrices for multiplication -

A_{m\times n} \times B_{n\times p}

- wherein

Number of columns of first matrix is equal to number of rows in second matrix

 

 

 

 A_{3\times 5}\: \: and\: \: B_{a\times b}

BA is valid so b = 3

and AB is not valid so a \neq 5
