Magnetic lines of force in general are either closed curves or go off to infinite.

\therefore  The flux of magnetic induction \vec{B} across any closed surface is always zero.

\int_{S} \vec{B} \cdot d \vec{s}=0

Using Gauss divergence theorem -

\int_{v} \operatorname{div} \vec{B} \cdot d v=0

volume is arbitrary hence div \vec{B}=0  Ans.
