For potentiometer,
\mathrm{E\, \alpha \, l}
\mathrm{\frac{E_{1}}{E_{2}}= \frac{l_{1}}{l_{2}}}
\mathrm{\frac{3}{2}= \frac{75 cm}{l_{2}}}
\mathrm{l_{2}= 50 cm}

The difference in the balancing Length of the potentiometer wire in above two cases is \mathrm{\Delta l= l_{1}-l_{2}}
\mathrm{\Rightarrow \Delta l= 25 cm}
