As we learnt

Slater's rule for (ns,ns1) orbital electron -

1.  Write electronic configuration and group them as

(1s),(2s,2p),(3s,3p),(sd),(4s,4p),(4d,4f),(5s,5p),(5d,5t),(6s,6p)etc

2.  Electron to the right of the group is not effective in shielding that group.

3.  All other electrons in (ns, np) contribute .35 except 1s which contribute .30

4.  All the electron in (n-1)th  shell contribute.85

5.  All electron in (n-2)th or lower contribute 1

-

 1s belongs to K shell.

2s,2p subshells of L shell
