For balanced wheatstone network
\mathrm{ \frac{R_1}{R_2}=\frac{R_{A C}}{R_{C B}}=\frac{\rho \frac{\ell_{A C}}{A}}{\frac{\rho \ell_{C B}}{A}}=\frac{\ell_{A C}}{\ell_{C B}} }
The balancing length, if the radius of the wire \mathrm{A B} is doubled has no effect
\therefore The balancing length is \mathrm{40 \mathrm{~cm}}
