\mathrm{\Rightarrow \quad x+y=2\left(t^{2}+1\right) \text { and } x-y=2 t }
\mathrm{\Rightarrow \quad \frac{(x+y)}{2} 1+\left(\frac{x+y}{2}\right)^{2}}
\mathrm{\Rightarrow \quad(x+y)^{2} 2(x+y)-4=2(x+y-2)}

Comparing it with \mathrm{\mathrm{y}^{2}=4 \mathrm{ax}} , we get

length of latus rectum \mathrm{=\sqrt{2}} units
