As we have learnt,

 

Projectile Projected Horizontally -

V=\sqrt{u^{2}+g^{2}t^{2}}


 

- wherein

V= velocity of Projectile at an instant

u= initial velocity of projection

 

 

v = \sqrt{u^2 + g^2 t^2} = \sqrt{5^2 + (1.2\times 10)^2} = \sqrt{169} = 13 m/s
