C_{2}^{2-}:- No of electrons = 14

\sigma _{1S}^{2}\: \sigma_{1S^{2}}^{*}\: \sigma _{2S}^{2}\: \sigma_{2S^{2}}^{*}\: \pi _{2px}^{2}= \pi _{2py}^{2}\: \sigma_{2pz^2}

(1) It is diamagnetic

(2) B.O= \frac{10-4}{2}=3

O_{2}^{2-}:- No of electrons=18

\sigma _{1S}^{2}\: \sigma_{1S^{2}}^{*}\: \sigma _{2S}^{2}\: \sigma_{2S^{2}}^{*}\: \sigma2pz^{2}\: \pi {2px}^{2}= \pi _{2py}^{2}\: \pi _{2px^{2}}^{*}= \pi _{2py^{2}}^{*}

(1) It is diamagnetic

(2) B.O= \frac{10-8}{2}=1

B.O < \frac{1}{Bond\;length}

\therefore ans is C_{2}^{2-}

Option 1)

O2

Option 2)

N_{2}^{2-}

Option 3)

O_{2}^{2-}

Option 4)

C_{2}^{2-}
