As learnt in

Equilibrium constant in gaseous system -

For equilibrium involving gases, it is usually more convenient to express the equilibrium constant in terms of partial pressure.

- wherein

The ideal gas equation is written as

PV=nRT

                     Ca CO_{3}(s)\ \ \ \rightleftharpoons\ \ \ Ca O(s) \ + \ \ \ CO_{2} (g)

At t=0                  0.2

At equilibrium     0.2*0.35                        0.2* 0.65             0.2* 0.65

K_{p} =p_{CO}_{2}

= \frac{nRT}{V} = \frac{0.2\times 0.65\times 0.0821\times 1073K}{10} atm

=1.145 \:\:atm

Option 1)

1.145 atm

This solution is correct

Option 2)

0.145 atm

This solution is incorrect

Option 3)

2.145 atm

This solution is incorrect

Option 4)

3.145 atm

This solution is incorrect
