Let A and B be two sets containing four and two elements respectively. Then the number of subsets of the set A x B, each
having at least three elements is :

 Let  A={a,b,c,d}

B= {x,y}

Total number of elements in A x B = 8

Total number of subsets in A x B = 2^8 = 256

Number of subsets having 3 or more elements = 256  -  ( no. of subsets having (1 element + 2 elements + 0 elements))

                                                                           =  256 - (1 null set + 8C2 having two elements + 8C1 having one element)

                                                                           = 256- (1+28+8) = 219
