Fringes are loaws of point which move in each way that its path difference from the two slits remain constant.

S_{2}P-S_{1}P=\Delta x=constant

This represent a hyperbola with its two foci at S_{1}andS_{2}

The intereference pattern that we get on screen is the section of hyperboloid of revolution.
