Starting at temperature 300 K, one mole of an ideal diatomic gas (\gamma =1.4) is first compressed adiabatically from volume V_{1} tO V_{2}=\frac{V_{1}}{16}. It is then allowed to expand isobarically to volume 2V_{2}, If all the processes are quasi-static then the final temperature of the gas (in K) is ( to the nearest integer) _____.

For Process CA

 PV^{\gamma }=constant

TV^{\gamma -1}=constant

300(V_{1})^{1.4-1}=T_{A}\left ( \frac{V_{1}}{16} \right )^{2/5}

T_{A}=300\times 2^{8/5}

  Now for   process AB

V_{B}/T_{B}=V_{A}/T_{A}

T_{B}=\frac{V_{B}T_{A}}{V_{A}}=2\times 300\times 2^{8/5}

T_{B}=1818K
