As we learnt in

Total energy of elctron in nth orbit -

E_{n}= -13.6\: \frac{z^{2}}{n^{2}}eV

Where z is atomic number

-

2nd excited state will be the 3rd  energy level.

E_{n}= -13.6\: \frac{z^{2}}{n^{2}}eV

=\frac{ -13.6\times 1^{^{2}}}{3^2} eV

= 1.51eV

Option 1)

1.51 eV

Correct Option

Option 2)

3.4 eV

Incorrect Option

Option 3)

6.04 eV

Incorrect Option

Option 4)

13.6 eV

Incorrect Option
