Since complex numbers are equal so ,

4x=3 and 3x-2y=-1

\Rightarrow \: x=\frac{3}{4} and \Rightarrow \: y=\frac{13}{8}

\therefore x+y=\frac{3}{4}+\frac{13}{8}=\frac{19}{8}

\therefore Option (C)

Equality in Complex Numbers -

z=x+iy & w=a+ib are equal iff x=a & y=b

- wherein

Two complex numbers are equal iff real parts as well as imaginary parts are equal.
