when object moving along straight line covers equal distances in equal intervals of time, it is said to be in uniform motion along a straight line.

  distance traveled by scooter = 30*15 = 450m

distance traveled by Car = \frac{1}{2}\times 15\times45 =337.5m

difference between distance traveled by scooter and car after 15 sec = 112.5m

total at t = t_{1} car catch up with scooter then 30t = 337.5+45(t-15)

or 30t = 337.5+45t-675

or 15t = 337.5

t = 22.5sec
