Two bullets are fired horizontally, simultaneously and with different velocities from the same place. Which bullet will hit the ground earlier ?

As we have learnt,

 

Projectile Projected Horizontally -

t= \sqrt{\frac{2h}{g}}

t= time of flight

 

- wherein

h= Hight from which projectile is projected

 

 Let Y is along vertical direction and x-axis is along x-axis, then

u_y = 0, a_y = g\;and\;s_y = h

s_y = u_y t + \frac{1}{2}a_y t^2

t = \sqrt{\frac{2h}{g}}

Since h is same for both, both will reach simultaneously.
