We know that molar mass of NaCl = 58.5g

Thus, number of moles of NaCl = given weight / molecular weight

Thus, mass of NaCl in 1L solution = 175.5g

Now, we have density = mass/ volume

Thus, mass of 1 litre of solution = 1000 x 1.252
                                               = 1252g

Therefore, mass of water = 1252 - 175.2
                                     = 1074.5g

Therefore, molality of solution = 3/1.0745
                                            = 2.79

Therefore, Option(3) is correct
