Maximum current in the circuit

\mathrm{\begin{aligned} \quad I & =P N \\ \therefore \quad & I=\frac{100 \times 10^{-3}}{0.5}=0.2 \mathrm{amp} . \end{aligned}}

\mathrm{\text { Now, } R=\frac{\text { voltage dropacross resistance }}{0.5}=\frac{1}{0.2}=5 \Omega}
