As we have learnt,

The order of ionisation energy:

IE_1 : Na <Al<Mg

IE_2 : Mg^+ <Al^+<Na^+

IE_3 : Al^{2+}<Na^{2+}<Mg^{2+}

This can be explained on the basis of the electronic configuration of the species involved. Fully filled noble gas configuration has greatest ionisation energy while fully filled s orbital configuration also has a higher value of ionisation energy than their s^1or s^2p^1 counterpart.
