Amines are the derivatives of ammonia obtained by replacement of H atoms by any alkyl or aryl radicals. 

 

Primary Amines -

Replacement of one H atom of ammonia by one alkyl and or aryl radicals yield primary or  1^{\circ} amines.

 

Tertiary Amines -

Replacement of three H atom of ammonia by three  alkyl and aryl radicals yield teriary or 3^{\circ} amines.
