The volume of a given mass of a gas at $\mathrm{27^{\circ}C}$ . 1 atm is $\mathrm{100 cc}$ . What wili be its volume at $\mathrm{327^{\circ}C}$ ?

If pressure of a given mass of the gas is kept constant, then

$\mathrm{ V \propto T }$

$\mathrm{ \Rightarrow \quad \frac{V}{T}=\text { constant } }$

$\mathrm{ \Rightarrow \quad \frac{V_1}{T_1}=\frac{V_2}{T_2}\Rightarrow V_2=V_1\left(\frac{T_2}{T_1}\right) \\ }$

$\mathrm{ T_1=273+27=300 \mathrm{~K} }$

$\mathrm{ T_2=273+327=600 \mathrm{~K} }$

$\mathrm{ \text { But } \quad \quad V_1=100 \mathrm{cc} }$

$\mathrm{ V_2=V_1\left(\frac{600}{300}\right) }$

$\mathrm{ V_2=2 V_1 }$

$\mathrm{ V_2=2 \times 100=200 \mathrm{cc} }$

Hence option 4 is correct.
