The readings on the main scale are 3.25 and 3.30

1 main scale divisions =0.05 \mathrm{~cm}

1 vernier scale division, =2.425 / 50=0.0485 \mathrm{~cm} / \mathrm{div}

Least count =0.05-0.0485=0.0015 \mathrm{~cm}

Diameter =$ MSR $+($ L.C x VSD $)

=3.25+(18 \times 0.0015)

=3.277 \mathrm{~cm}
