Three identical charged balls each of charge \mathrm{2\, C} are suspended from a common point \mathrm{P} by silk threads of \mathrm{2 \, m} each (as shown in figure ). They form an equilateral triangle of side \mathrm{1\, m}.

The electric force on charge kept at \mathrm{B_{1}}

\mathrm{F_{net}= \sqrt{F^{2}+F^{2}+2F\times F\times \cos 60^{\circ}}}
          \mathrm{= \sqrt{3}F}
 

Where F is the electrostatic force between any two charge

\mathrm{\frac{F_{net}}{F}=\frac{\sqrt{3}F}{F}= \sqrt{3}:1}
