 An experiment is performed to determine the I - V characteristics of a Zener diode, which has a protective resistance of R=100 , and a maximum power  of dissipation rating of 1 W.  The minimum voltage range of the DC source in the circuit is :

As we learnt in

LED (Light emitting diode) -

It gives out light radiation when forward biased .

- wherein

LED's are made of GaAsP  ,Gap etc .

(Require low voltage ,long life )

 

 P_{max}=\frac{V_{max}^{2}}{R}    or     V_{max}^{2}\leq P_{max}R

V_{max}\leq \sqrt{P_{max}R}=\sqrt{100}=10

Hence, Minimum Range can be 0.8 

Correct option is 2.
