As we know :

 Self inductance, L

\frac{L}{l}=\mu _{0}n^{2}\pi r^{2}=\frac{\mu _{0}N^{2}}{l^{2}}\pi r^{2}

L=\frac{\mu _{0}N^{2}\pi r^{2}}{l}             (N,r are const.as given in question )

   L\propto \frac{1}{l}
