Beta Emission : ^{A}_{Z}X \rightarrow ^{A}_{Z+1}X^{'} +^{0}_{-1}\beta

In this problem, both alpha and beta emissions are taking place.

^{A}_{Z}U \rightarrow ^{A-8\times 4}_{Z-8\times 2+6\times 1}X^{'} +6 \times \; ^{0}_{-1}\beta + 8 \times \; ^{4}_{2}\alpha

Putting value of A and Z

^{238}_{92}U \rightarrow ^{238-8\times 4}_{92-8\times 2+6\times 1}X^{'} +6 \times \; ^{0}_{-1}\beta + 8 \times \; ^{4}_{2}\alpha

^{238}_{92}U \rightarrow ^{206}_{82}X^{'} +6 \times \; ^{0}_{-1}\beta + 8 \times \; ^{4}_{2}\alpha

Now in the product nucleus, Number of protons = 82 and number of neutrons = 206-82 =  124

Ratio of Neutron/Proton = 124/82 = 62/41
