Option: 1 5.26
Option: 2 5.0
Option: 3 zero
Option: 4 5.92

Answers (1)

best_answer

Electronic configuration of the divalent metal ion having atomic number 25 is

Total number of unpaired electrons = 5

\mu \text { (Magnetic moment) }=\sqrt{\mathrm{n}(\mathrm{n}+2)} \ \mathrm{BM}

\text { where } \mathrm{n}=\text { number of unpaired e}^-

\therefore \mu=\sqrt{5(5+2)}=\sqrt{35} \mathrm{BM}=5.92 \ \mathrm{BM}

Therefore, Correct option is (4)
