  2. Glucose does not give Schiff's test and DNP test. It confirms the absence of free -CHO group.
  3. Glucose pentaacetate does not react with hydroxylamine. It means the absence of free -CHO group.

Glucose does not react with Schiff's test because Schiff's reagent is used for aldehydes. Glucose exists in its cyclic form in which the aldehyde group is not free but is instead used for hemiacetal formation.
